True Harrigan is an interdisciplinary artist born in Richmond, Virginia. She recently graduated from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Fiber Department, in May 2019. In 2017 she received a Post Baccalaureate Certificate of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2013 she received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Furman University. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States and Italy.



What does a body reflect onto its surroundings and what does its surroundings project onto the body? I am interested in transparency, shadow, light reflection and refraction. My work is about the intangible and invisible imprints that have been embedded into us; and how memories forgotten reveal themselves through the act of making.
